November 2013

November 9th.

Bit of a belated update.

Winter has finally arrived and not really much happening on the plot at the moment.

Still got plenty of Leeks, turnips kale and carrots growing so I've been harvesting these quite a bit.

I've had a bit of an invasion of rats making burrows in my polytunnel so I've had to first of all "get rid" of the rats and now I've covered all the doors with narrow mesh to make them Rat-proof.

I did a video of me and my Jack Russell in the tunnel rat hunting, so if you want to see me absolutely crap myself when one jumps out then have a look.

Video below.

The Broccoli I planted out has really flown along and is actually starting to form heads a bit early but It's no problem.

Winter sprouting broccoli will be a bonus crop.

So I'm still harvesting a few bits and bobs even at this time of year.

There are a few videos below.

First a bit of time-lapse I did filming peas and cress germinating which is quite interesting.....or maybe not.

The next is the latest quick plot tour from last week.

The next is a very nervous night vision mouse in the polytunnel.

And finally a bit of a photo slideshow of my entire veg growing year from January to September.
